Ositech Communications Inc. is pleased to announce that Windows Magazine has selected the Ositech Five of Diamonds 33.6 Modem + Digital Phone Interface
(DPI) PC Card to receive a 1998 Win 100 Hardware Award.
Window's Magazine's Win 100 Awards testing standards are known as some of the most stringent in the industry, and products are put through their paces with an eye to real world usability, overall design and engineering excellence. Testing is overseen by a panel of knowledgeable, experienced editorial judges, and any flaw can knock an otherwise great product out of the running. This acknowledgement of excellence is only one of the reasons Ositech is so pleased to have had the Five of Diamonds modem PC Card selected to receive this award in 1998. The demanding testing Window's Magazine puts contenders for the Win100 Awards through is not new to
Ositech; the company's industry leading Jack of Diamonds Modem + Ethernet PC Card was recognized by the magazine with a Win 100 Award in 1996.
The Five of Diamonds stands above all other high performance, single function 33.6 modem PC Cards due to the fully internal, patented Digital Phone Interface
(DPI) technology. While all modems allow you to make connections through analog phones and most permit connections using cellular phones, the Five of Diamonds is the only modem to allow you to make connections through the digital (PBX) phones found in most offices and businesses.
Serdar Yegulalp, author of Windows Magazine's original article on the Five of Diamonds (August 1997, p.170) stated that Ositech's Five of Diamonds, provides business travelers with a unique solution for digital and analog phones.
